The F. A. Kennedy Steam Bakery was a historic bakery located at 129 Franklin Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The building, which was constructed in 1875, is the site where the well-known baked good known as Fig Newtons was first produced in 1891.
Following its history as a bakery, the facility was purchased by Nabisco. The building was later converted into an apartment building and is now part of the University Park at MIT development.
The bakery building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Today, the structure serves as a residential apartment building while preserving its heritage as a historic landmark in Cambridge.
