In 1995, American artist Vito Acconci danced his way through the walls of the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI, with his labyrinthine masterpiece, 'Walkways Through the Wall'. This art piece slaloms around the building's exterior like a cat on a hot tin roof, while avoiding a cornered cat - y'know, if that cat was making art. Much like stretching out taffy, this artwork's texture is indeed taffy-like, seeping smoothly across the surface, as fluid as pancake batter. Don't forget about Mr. Acconci's stretchy concrete floor, acting the friendly, slippery sidekick to the walls, windows, and other building mates, like they're old pals at a backyard barbecue. Special mention to the benches, they're not just seating, they're supporting players, lending us a helping hand. Kudos to architect Mark A. Wallace for understanding the heart of this peculiar structure.
