Ayo has been one of the most iconic beach bars (or Chiringuito, in Spanish) in Nerja since 1969. Its sandy floor still retains the charm of the establishments from the eighties. Here one of the main Verna Azul characters - Chanquete played by the memorable Antonio Ferrandis - enjoyed his favourite dish, paella.
