Torre Roya: Recent Excavations Uncover its Christian Past

Torre Roya, also known as Torre Voya, is a historic tower located in Tudela, Navarra, Spain. Although traditionally considered of Islamic origin and possibly built in the 9th century during the fortification of Tudela by Amrûs ben Yusuf, recent excavations have revealed that it more likely has a Christian origin, likely from the Middle Ages. The ruins of this tower were located through recent excavations on the road from Alfaro in front of the also vanished Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Mismanos.
