Spectacular Views from the 15th-Century Torre del Molinete

Torre del Molinete, a 15th-century watchtower, is situated in the Municipality of Mazarrón, Region of Murcia, Spain. Dating back to 1490, it was constructed under the authorization of the Catholic Monarchs to protect the town of Mazarrón and the coast from Berber raids. In 2007, it was designated a Bien de Interés Cultural. Elevated and nearly as old as the watchtower itself, Torre del Molinete commands a view of the coastal area of southern Spain. The circular stone structure is a testament to the trials of centuries past. From its vantage point, visitors can savor unobstructed vistas, a poignant reminder of the tower's original function.
