If none of that helps, it’s time to travel and visit the home of a famous writer (such as Alexandre Dumas’s mansion), where even the walls are soaked with creativity. And if you’re lucky, you might even rent it for a couple of days.

The English writer did not like the city of Bath, but she made it the setting for two of her novels. She was unpleasantly surprised when her parents planned to move to this city, but she allowed her heroine Catherine to be happy precisely in Bath. Jane Austen lived in Bath for only five years but immortalized it in The Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.

The house where the writer lived from 1801 to 1805 is located in the English city of Bath. Here she worked on the novel The Watsons, which was later completed by her niece after the writer’s death. The apartment offered for rent used to be the kitchen — “the very place where Jane made tea and breakfast for her family, enjoying the view of the inner courtyard,” writes the owner.
