Nose No. 3 and the last one for now

Universitetskaya Embankment, 7/9, Saint Petersburg, Russia, 199034

This is not the end of the story with Kovalyov's noses.

And the story with Kovalyov's noses did not end in the city on the Neva. On May 23, 2008, on the Day of the Philologist and Orientalist, a monument to the Nose was installed in the courtyard of the Philological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University. The monument was created by sculptor Timur Yusupov in honor of Gogol's 200th anniversary.

Moreover, this time it was a full-fledged sculpture, where it stands on thin and crooked legs and wears a greatcoat. It is carved from stones sent by the world's leading universities.

As a result, Major Kovalyov's nose can be called a record holder: in St. Petersburg, as many as three monuments have been erected in his honor.
