Bugailiškiai hillfort, concealed on the left bank of the Shernupio river, dates to the 1st millennium BC. Excavated in 1969, it was enlisted on the Cultural Heritage List of Lithuania in 1973. The oval mound, encircled by a moat, measures approximately 36x22 meters and ascends to a height of 1.5 meters. On its right side, a rampart, spanning roughly 20 meters long and 15 meters wide, rises 5-6 meters high. Despite its overgrown state, the hillfort harbors its mysteries, with a 60 square meter floor unearthed in 1999 by Povilas Tebelškis.
