This impressive structure was built in 2012 to commemorate the adoption of Islam by Bulgaria. Inside is the "Quran Museum," whose main exhibit is the largest printed Quran in the world, included in the Guinness Book of Records. It was specially commissioned and made by Italian craftsmen. When closed, the Quran measures 1.5 meters in width and 2 meters in length, weighing 500 kilograms. The binding is made of calfskin, and the cover is a malachite cloth adorned with semi-precious stones and decorations of gilded silver.
