The Juuliku Shepherd's Villa was built in 1927–29 according to the design of the Estonian architect Robert Natus. It has been protected by the state since 1996, but so far the only part of the house that does not cause concern is the marble plaque at the entrance, stating that the house is an architectural monument.
The building is wooden, plastered on the outside. The interior layout of the dwelling is simple: on the first floor there is a large kitchen, a living room, and a utility room.
The manor was filmed in the movie "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson" in the episode "The Hound of the Baskervilles" as Lafter Hall (Frankland's house).
On the second floor, accessible by a wooden staircase, there are bedrooms and an exit to the balcony above the main entrance, where Frankland set up an observation post for himself.
