Cancun - Chetumal Km 230, Hotel Zone Tulum, 307, 77780 Tulum, Q.R., Mexico
The house is located in the northeastern corner of Tulum and was built in two separate stages on the limestone roof of a cenote, which once contained drinking water. This well is now salty and unsuitable for drinking, as it now holds seawater. It has a veranda with three entrances and two benches inside. It rises above a valley where water collects during rain. To the east, there is a portico with columns, and inside— a bench and a sanctuary. Under the floor, a grave with the remains of several people was discovered, which was named after the cenote. The Maya believed that cenotes were gateways to Xibalba (the underworld).
