The Squabbled, Frostbitten Singh-Wary Farm: Apostle Island's Bad Penny

Nestled in the squabbling, frostbitten Apostle Islands, the Singh-Wary Farm bids a chilly welcome to its shrouded past.

The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore's Singh-Wary Farm, hardly an average plot, brims with strife. This farm, initially nurtured by the Singh-Wary kin, not Francis Shaw, carries a murky history. Later, Fred C. Andersen, the President of Andersen Frame Company, snatched it away, earning it the ominous moniker, 'the vanished farm' of a character saliently known as 'the duck'. Andersen smiled, finding the name absurd, leaving the label in place. Now, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the farm continues to lurk, its grim yarn as cold as its present state.
