The gate that resisted Saint James in Cádiz

Arco de la Rosa is a medieval city gate in Cádiz, Spain, on the western wall. Originally named after a Marian chapel nearby, it's suggestively named after Captain Gaspar de la Rosa who lived in the city in the 18th century. Originated as Arco de Santiago, due to its location near the Santiago arrabal, where fishermen gathered. It was restored in 1973. Arco de la Rosa is currently located next to Cádiz Cathedral, connecting Plaza de la Catedral with the Pópulo neighborhood via the Arco de la Rosa passage. It is listed as a cultural heritage site.
