Bosholme, situated on an island in Lake Åsnen, near the Bosgård farm, is a medieval castle ruin first mentioned in 1290. The castle's fortification, found on the eastern part of the island, is divided by a four-meter-wide moat. The square structure, measuring 65 x 70 meters, seems to have been surrounded by a wooden palisade. Archaeological findings indicate the castle was in use during the 14th century, aligning with historical documents that mention Bosholme in the 1300s but are absent after that.
