Hidden under centuries of earth, Pūčkorių hillfort stands as a forgotten gem in the heart of Lithuania's capital city. With an oval shape, surrounded by a ditch, it measures 28x20 meters in diameter. A 0.5-meter high, 8-meter wide wall runs through the mound, centrally located. In the middle, a 4.5-meter wide terrace lies 3 meters below the center of the mound. The area around the fortress reveals remains of a settlement dating back to the past, with burnt and charcoal pottery, and iron smelting furnaces. Although abandoned, it has been excavated for cultural heritage.
