Castell Formós, known as Balaguer castle, is a 12th-century Andalusian castle (hisn) in Balaguer, Noguera, Catalonia, Spain. Now governed by the counts of Urgell, the castle features an enclosure with an irregular polygonal shape. The two well-preserved corner towers (numbers 1 and 5), each about 5.50 meters by 5.50 meters and quadrangular, are the remaining traces of the castle's 5 northern towers and the moat carved in the rock for defense. The restoration of this historical landmark signifies a strong commitment to preserving Balaguer's heritage.
