The 500-year-old farmhouse with a hidden chapel

Mas Mitjà is a 500-year-old farmhouse located in Santa Eugènia de Berga, in the district of Osona, Catalonia, Spain. It is included in the Catalonia Architectural Inventory. The building is rectangular, with a roof with two slopes. The farmhouse has a porch with three parts, one of them covered like a gallery, supported by pillars. Mas Mitjà was built with stone, lime, wattle and brick with wooden beams. At the back of the Mas Mitjà, there is a portal that closes the courtyard.

On the right side of the Mas Mitjà, and connected by a bridge, there is a chapel dedicated to the Virgin of the Conception. The chapel has a small bell tower in the western façade. Other buildings complement the Mas Mitjà. The Mas Mitjà was rebuilt in the 18th century. In 1857, the owner of the Mas Mitjà, Maria de Ferrer, marquise of Puerto Nuevo, requested permission from the bishop of Vic to celebrate mass in the chapel.
