Sant Vicenç d'Oveix: A millennium of history by the river

Sant Vicenç d’Oveix, also known as Sant Vicenç d’Insitil, is an ancient Benedictine, Romanic monastery in Rialb, Pallars Sobirà. Originated part of the ancient terme de Surp, it is situated on the right bank of the Noguera Pallaresa, near the Xalets dels Notaris, in the partida dels Pous. The monastery, which looks older than the 19th-century houses around it, is a testament to a thousand years of history.
