Forgotten Chapel of Sant Francesc de Burg: Ancient Inscriptions and

Sant Francesc, an abandoned chapel, lies in the rural village of Burg, Farrera, Pallars Sobirà comarca. The sanctuary's capstone faces East, a large, slightly lowered Eastern-facing vault resting atop a rectangular shape. The nave was initially covered by a two-water roof that supported a slate roof, which has since collapsed, leaving the chapel in ruins. Its main facade faces West, highlighted by a central port, flanked by two wooden-framed windows. A small window resides above the port, with a simple bell tower above. Constructed from local uncut pink stone, the facade boasts inscriptions: 'ANI 1727+' and 'Record of the Santa Missió 1923' above the bell tower. The chapel's capstone and aged inscriptions serve as reminders of a time long past.
