The Income House of Emmanuel Ludwigovich Nobel — an architectural monument, is part of the Residential Complex for employees of Ludwig Emmanuelovich Nobel’s factory. The house was built in 1910–1911. The large gray building in Art Nouveau style closes off the Residential Complex of the "Ludwig Nobel" factory from the side of Lesnoy Prospect.
The building features the characteristic asymmetrical composition of Art Nouveau, consisting of three parts: the main left five-story section, the narrow right four-story section, and the connecting part with a three-span tall arcade and a gallery-loggia above it. The dominant feature of the building is the main entrance on the left side, with a stairwell projecting onto the facade, topped with a dome and a small tower.
The windows are large, wide, and spaced far apart, which is uncharacteristic for 19th-century St. Petersburg architecture. Ionic columns without archivolts are used in the passageway. The main entrance is decorated on both sides with pairs of rusticated pilasters of the Ionic order, on which sculptural groups of putti stand. The axis where the entrance to the five-story building is located is emphasized by a tower with a dome, topped with a drum and an onion-shaped cupola. The facade is compositionally divided into three parts: the main left five-story section, the narrow right four-story section, and between them — the part with a three-span tall arcade and a gallery-loggia above it on the fourth floor. The loggias are divided into sections by quadrangular columns. The dominant feature of the building is the main entrance on the left side; the axis on which it is located is topped with a dome and a small tower. The facade is roughly plastered; red facing bricks are used in the lintels, and granite blocks are on the first floor.
The facade is designed in the Art Nouveau style, while Fyodor Lidval, the building’s architect, included in the composition the motif of an arcade passageway into the courtyard, referencing the Italian Renaissance.
The arcade passageway into the courtyard is designed in the style of the Italian Renaissance.
This was the most comfortable house for employees of the "Ludwig Nobel" factory: the apartments were mostly five-room, well-planned, and even now retain fireplaces and doors.
An entire block behind the house is occupied by the residential complex for employees of the "Ludwig Nobel" factory. Numerous buildings stretch up to Sampsonievsky Prospect.
