All that remains of the magnificent palace are the splendid painted columns; now one can only imagine how beautiful it once was. This building, located next to the Pyramid of Kukulkan, consists of columns with a wall in the background and is decorated with ornaments. The columns were adorned with molded warriors; these stone frescoes were found on almost every column. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to fully appreciate them; only on some can you see molded feet and faces. The name comes from the bas-reliefs of human heads discovered here, carved from plaster, which is believed to have had a decorative purpose.
