A monument to one of history's greatest minds, the Albert Einstein Memorial in Washington, D.C. is a four-ton statue that stands 12 feet tall, made of Bronze cast at Modern Art Foundry in Queens, NY. The statue, located at the southwest corner of the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences at 2101 Constitution Avenue N.W, near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, depicts a relaxed Einstein sitting on a three-step bench made from Mount Airy white granite. However, the statue's true allure lies in its details - more than 2,700 metal studs representing astronomical objects embedded in the dais, and a series of equations inscribed on the statue's left hand, representing some of Einstein's most significant scientific discoveries.
