Castell d’Almudèfer, in Caseres (Terra Alta), has been declared as a Bé Cultural d'Interès Nacional. This castle, with unknown origins, is believed to have been a Templar or Hospitaller construction. The ruins of the castle are difficult to explore due to their state of disrepair, with many walls hard to discern. However, some clear remains from different periods can be found, especially in the main tower located at the highest point of the hill, which is heavily damaged, and in the southern tower, known as 'the prison', which is better preserved.
