Casa del Raganer

Beyond the wilderness of the Raganer torrent lies a crumbling house, built in the 17th century and now in ruins. Casa del Raganer was purchased in 1646 from the heirs of Salvador Carreras by Pau Sastre. The house was an autonomous agricultural estate, with a bread oven, stone mill, cellar, and kitchen. Although the first floor was used for sleeping, no traces remain today. The house was inhabited until 1834 when the family abandoned it to return to the village. Today, only the exterior remains, and the bread oven, restored by the CMRO, was made with a vault of bricks. The millstone, 110 cm in diameter, still remains inside the house.
