Cave Paintings at Balma dels Punts: 12,000 Years of History Unveiled

Balma dels Punts, located in the Spanish town of L’Albi, is an archaeological site and a part of the Art rupestre of the Arc Mediterranean de la Peninsula Ibèrica, a World Heritage Site. This cave offers a unique glimpse into the past, dating back to the Stone Age. Discovered in 1995, it features eleven representations, including a deer and a quadruped or caprine, displayed in both naturalistic and schematic styles. The exact dimensions of the cave are unknown, but it appears to be approximately 10 meters long and 3 meters high. The well-organized points, the deer, and other paintings show differences in technique and colors.
