The Blaenannerch round barrow, identified by the Archaeology Service of Wales as CD212, stands as an enigma. Located in Aberporth, Ceredigion, it is secreted away in the hills. The exact age and purpose of this ancient structure are unknown, but it is believed to be from the Bronze Age. It may be one of the few surviving structures from that era when Wales was just beginning to emerge. To stand within its sight, or to contemplate its shadow, is to reach back in time to a world much different from our own.
