Ancient relics: Romanesque church ruins at Montells, Fogars de la Selva

Sant Corneli de Montells is a Romanesque ermita from Fogars de la Selva, located in the Selva. The ermita was an ermita for the hermits living there, founded in 1200 and depended on the monestir of Roca-Rossa. Its name, Sant Corneli de Montells, suggests a link to a local saint named Corneli, though there is no record of his life or canonization. The ermita was not destroyed during the French Wars, but only some parts of it were.
