In 1940, the Sycamore Ranger Station, a relic of Arizona's wilderness, found its footing. Erected by the Civilian Conservation Corps, it was a time when sycamores turned the creek golden. Now, those sycamores are history, washed away, while the station remains. The only survivor from the Grand construction era of the 1930s and '40s, it's silent, soaking in the grandeur of the Prescott National Forest, coated in rust, dust, and whispers of memories.
