Catalan Farmhouse Hidden in Serra de Llaberia: Mas de la Vall

Mas de la Vall, a typical Catalan farmhouse, finds itself located in Capçanes, a small village nestled in the Serra de Llaberia, a mountain range in Catalonia, Spain. The farmhouse was once owned by the Gavaldà family, one of the affluent families of Capçanes, who owned other estates. Abandoned after the Spanish Civil War, it was later acquired by the State Forest Patrimony. In 1962, the State Forest Patrimony acquired this estate, and it was included in the catalog of public utility mountains. Since 1984, Mas de la Vall has been owned by the Department of Environment of the Generalitat de Catalunya and spans over 182 hectares of land. The farmhouse includes a main house, buildings for tools of the field, a storehouse, and cattle yards.
