A rare Elizabethan time capsule in Hampton Road, Solihull

Grimshaw, a Tudor manor house, is tucked away in Solihull, West Midlands, England, UK. Constructed in the 16th century, it was named after the Grimshaw family who occupied it from 1620 to around 1765. This historic manor is considered a fine example of Elizabethan architecture. Its design favored the E plan, with a main hall block bisected by two cross-wings and completed by a two-story porch. Although it retains its seclusion for most of the year, Grimshaw can be seen during winter months when the hedgerows along Hampton Road are bare, revealing a glimpse of its grandeur.
