A forgotten hilltop chapel in Pallars Jussà

Perched on a remote ridge, a forgotten chapel sits in the heart of the Pallars Jussà region in Spain. The chapel, known as Sant Salvador de Molinos, is considered a dependency of the church of Mont-ros, but little remains of the church, allowing the recognition of a very simple Romanesque work. From the southernmost houses of the nearby village of la Torre de Cabdella, a path leads to the ridge that marks the left bank of the Flamisell. The path follows the old salt route to Gerri de la Sal, passing under an electric tower along the way. As the path nears the end of the ridge, it takes a closed bend to find the same crest - the Serrat de Solà. From this point, a hill with the remains of the chapel of Sant Salvador can be found. The chapel is a small, Romanesque building, with a single nave, an eastern apse, and flat stones arranged in regular rows.
