A unique attraction in Adamas. During WWII in preparation for the occupation of Crete, the Germans ordered the digging and building of tunnels and passages in various locations on Milos which they used for the protection of the soldiers as well as food and ammunition storage. The largest facility was that of Adamas which was predominantly used to shelter the Germans from British bombing. It's a ramified tunnel with 12 chambers. The shelter is now repurposed as an art gallery. A place that is both creepy and cool, and definitely worth a visit while on Milos.
