This building which now houses the Chamber of Commerce was formerly occupied by Turner's furniture shop, whose slogan “For your bedroom needs, we sell everything but the girl” gave its name to the famous English musical duo band formed in 1982 by Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt. Thorn and Watt met when they were both attending the University of Hull.
