This is the place where the cover of Bowie’s legendary and career-defining album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” was shot. The place is now very easy to find as it is marked by a blue memorial plaque.
The K. West sign that appears over Bowie's head on the album cover has long since disappeared to Bowie’s and his fans' regret. It belonged to a furrier that occupied part of the premises at the time.
