In “Sex and the City 2” (2010) Samantha brings her friends on a trip to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), where Samantha's ex is filming a new movie. In reality, this is Morocco. Samantha Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte are accommodated in the Royal Suite at the Sahara Palace Marrakech Hotel, situated in the Palmeraie area and offering stunning vistas of the Atlas Mountains. The entire upper floor of the Palace building is set aside for the Royal Suite. Within its 500 square metres are three bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, salon with fireplace, bar & private dining room. A large terrace runs along one side of the suite.
Bonus fact: another of the city's magnificent hotels, the Amanjena, is featured when Carrie has dinner with her former flame, Aidan.
