The music pavilion is located on the coastal alley of Yelagin Island along the embankment of the Middle Neva. The pavilion was installed by Carlo Rossi in 1824-1825 in front of the granite pier. Its "younger brother" is the Rossi Pavilion in the Mikhailovsky Garden. Behind it opens a picturesque view of the Old English Garden. In plan, the pavilion consists of two symmetrical rooms. At its center is an elegant, open semi-rotunda with a colonnade made of natural marble.

In the middle of the pavilion is a loggia with six columns made of gray Siberian marble, facing the river. On the park side, K. Rossi designed a semi-rotunda.
The beginning of the pavilion's construction dates back to 1824, and it was completed by 1826. Initially, it was intended to be used as living quarters for duty officers. By the end of the 19th century, concerts began to be held in the pavilion on holidays. Like all buildings on the island, the pavilion is richly decorated with sculptural ornamentation in the form of stucco cornices, mascarons, and bas-relief compositions. Along the facades are cast-iron flower vases shaped like altars. Throughout the 19th century, the building was repeatedly rebuilt. After restoration in the 1980s, the pavilion was restored to its original form.
